History

Johor Orphan Welfare Organization (PKAYJ) is an agency located in under the auspices of Non Government Organization (NGO). Societies Act, 1966 (regulation 5). This agency is responsible for managing Rumah Barkat.

Johor Orphan Welfare Organization (PKAYJ) is registered as an organization under section 7 of the companies act 1966 and that its registration number is 1110 (Johor). Among the mobile property holders of the Johor Orphan Welfare Organization (PKAYJ) are Dato' Kadir Bin Annuar, Hj Mohd Nazar Bin A.Karim, and Hjh Nona Binti Ahmed.

The first recruitment of orphan students to stay under Barkat House is a total of 10 people under the care of the principal Haji Abd. Majid Bin Had. The number of students is increasing increased from year to year and now totals 108 people (as of September 2013). The capacity of the blessed house can accommodate up to 300 people but depending on the request lately it's been less so there aren't many children to come in. As has been informed that there are more nannies at Dirumah Barkat than the number of nannies at other institutions is because the number of small children is more and they need attention which is more. All Rumah Barkat expenses are dependent on donations from public, Social Welfare Agency, Department of Islamic Religion and charity sales such as produces Rumah Berkat mineral water.

Development History (Old & New Buildings)

The Johor Orphan Welfare Organization (PKAYJ) was built on a plot of land covering an area of ​​4 acres located on Jalan Bukut Cagar, Johor Bahru. The building site has been waqf by the Johor Islamic Religious Council. This office building was originally a board building which has two pillars under which there is a vault that houses part of it staff. In 2012 the Rumah Barkat office was redesigned and built using ready-made stone at a cost of RM 2 million. The cost of building this house is a building built by donations from the public. This house is located belowmanaged by the Johor Orphans' Welfare Organization (PKAYJ). This foundation was established with the goal of defending orphans throughout the state.

The construction of Rumah Barkat is one of the efforts to help orphans who are in school and in line with the goal of its establishment to defend orphans and orphans who have no place to live and guide them towards academic achievement and good morals.

Students funded by PKAYJ will be given financial assistance of RM 45.00 a month for each person. In addition, students are given donations and facilities learning such as exam fees, textbooks, clothes and other necessities schooling according to their respective needs. In addition, to facilitate channeling aid money to orphans and poor children who are in school, we credit payment to their respective accounts and the Muamalat account book.

Johor Orphans' Welfare Organization (PKAYJ) was established on Sunday 1978 located in the Operations Room of the District Office, Jalan Duke Johor Bahru, Johor Darul Takzim.
